If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway filled with “treat yourself” moments, look no further than Glen Ivy Hot Springs. Tucked away in the mountains of Temescal Canyon, the Glen Ivy experience in Corona, California is a destination like no other. Whether you’re looking for a wellness escape or having a special daycation getaway with your girls, Glen Ivy offers it all.  From the healing mineral springs to relaxing spa treatments and the fresh local cuisine, Glen Ivy is a unique destination that serves as a rare oasis of rejuvenation and well-being. Recently, I had the opportunity to embark on a Passport To Wellness journey through the lush Glen Ivy Hot Springs property with a special focus on hydration in celebration of the new HydraFacial treatments now available. From the ancient art of meditation to the latest innovation in skincare, the immersive experience showcased the best Glen Ivy Hot Springs has to offer. Check out why the Glen Ivy Experience is unlike any other destination:

Signature Grotto Treatment

I started the day with an appointment at The Grotto. Taken underground to a secret cave, the staff assists in painting you neck-to-toe with a mask made of warm aloe vera, coconut oil, shea butter, eucalyptus and lavender. I was obsessed with this mask, and it smelled so good! Shortly afterwards I entered a heated cavern where this silky formula soaked further into my skin. Ten minutes later, I stepped into the next room to rinse off before moving into a final, cooler grotto to relax with tea, water and fresh apples awaiting for guests. I left the Grotto Treatment feeling amazingly smooth and moisturized. It’s a perfect experience to treat and refresh your skin.

Farm-To-Table Experience at The Ivy Kitchen

With my HydraFacial treatment appointment at 1:30PM, I was able to enjoy the Glen Ivy grounds and grab lunch courtesy of The Ivy Kitchen. With Glen Ivy’s farm-to-table philosophy, I knew I was in for a treat. All dishes are fresh, clean with organic and locally grown ingredients. Even the fruit for our orange and grapefruit juice was harvested from the trees growing at their property!

HydraFacial Treatment

Afterwards, I headed to try the new HydraFacial treatment at the GOCO Spa Salon. I’ve heard so many amazing things about the HydraFacial and knew I was in for something special. What makes HydraFacials unique are that they are non-irritating, hydrating treatments that offer visible results with no downtime. The treatment removes stubborn debris from the pores, provides light exfoliation, extractions and adds intense moisture to the skin. Additionally, HydraFacial uses super serums packed with antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid and concludes with LED Light Therapy to cover all bases. Basically, your face and skin will be radiant! I truly noticed the difference immediately when I look in the mirror. Glen Ivy Hot Springs offers 50 and 80-minute HydraFacial services that are beneficial to all skin types, and targets wrinkles, fine lines, dehydrated skin, uneven skin tone, brown spots, blemishes and oily-prone skin.

HydraFacial Perk

HydraFacial Perk is the perfect complement to all HydraFacial treatments. There are two options: the lip treatment, which revitalizes your lips with ingredients like peppermint oil and peony extract, and the eye treatment, known to brighten and refresh your outer-eye area with ingredients such as horse chestnut seed extract and arnica flower extract, leaving your area toned, firmed and hydrated.

Feeling radiant and relaxed, I headed to the Hydration Lounge in the Secret Garden Lounge for a skincare analysis. All of the treatments at Glen Ivy Hot Springs use Comfort Zone products. Comfort Zone is one of the most eco-friendly spa lines available, recognized as a “Best for the World” brand by B-Corp. Coola Suncare brought endless summer vibes with their organic SPF products that we lathered on to protect from the sun, just in time as we made our way to the mineral baths.

Hydrotherapy

Another highlight of the Glen Ivy Experience are the hydrotherapy options available. From the Hot and Cold Plunge to the Mineral Baths and the iconic Club Mud, each experience is rejuvenating and relaxing. I first soaked in the mineral baths, one of my favorite experiences of the day. The sulfur-rich springs are perfect for easing joint pain and softening your skin. Note: Make sure you take off any silver jewelry before dipping in. Afterwards, I took a dip in the Hot and Cold Plunge. Feeling content and relaxed, I basked in the sunlight as I enjoyed the moment. Sometimes, it takes a little relaxation and quiet moments for us to really recognize and appreciate the beauty in the day. Glen Ivy made me feel like I was on a mental vacation!

No Glen Ivy experience is complete without a visit to the iconic Club Mud. The clay serves a great skin exfoliator, known to draw out impurities from the body. Simply, slather your wet skin with the red clay, warm in ‘Wafa’ cave or bake in the sun and wash off.

Sound Bath

We ended the Passport to Wellness experience with a sound bath meditation in the Secret Garden Deck. Sound healing has been linked to reduced stress and anxiety levels and allows our mind and body to recalibrate. Through the use of gongs, bowls, flutes, chimes and other instruments, the excerise allowed us to deepen the relationship with the breath while clearing the mind, leaving us feeling refreshed and focused.

Glen Ivy Hot Springs is such a rare oasis of well-being in Southern California. Learn more and book your day and treatments HERE.

Thank you Glen Ivy for such an immersive and relaxing afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!
